Public Speaking

Dr Sigman has extensive experience in bringing developments in psychology and health, to the workplace, business and education, through lectures, workshops, seminars and public speaking. He was Runner-Up as Best Business Columnist in The Publisher Magazine Publishing Awards for his health and psychology articles in the CIPD journal Personnel Management.

Dr Sigman’s public speaking engagements include an address to the Children and the Media Conference at the Houses of Parliament, a keynote speech at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development annual conference, the Department of Trade and Industry conference and the Radio Academy, as well as debating at the Oxford Union. He recently spoke about the effects of new electronic media on children at the 15th International Conference on Technology Supported Learning, in Berlin and the 7th International Conference of Hands On Europe - Association of Children's Museums, in Paris. He recently addressed the European Parliament Working Group on the Quality of Childhood in the European Union in Brussels, on the impact of electronic media.

He will be a keynote speaker at two Department of Health NHS conferences on alcohol this autumn: the North West Alcohol Conference 2011 and the North East Alcohol Office conference 'Calling Time on Second Hand Harm'
