Public Speaking

Dr Sigman has extensive experience in bringing developments in psychology and health, to the workplace, business and education, through lectures, workshops, seminars and public speaking. He was Runner-Up as Best Business Columnist in The Publisher Magazine Publishing Awards for his health and psychology articles in the CIPD journal Personnel Management.

Dr Sigman’s public speaking engagements include an address to the Children and the Media Conference at the Houses of Parliament, a keynote speech at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development annual conference, the Department of Trade and Industry conference and the Radio Academy, as well as debating at the Oxford Union. He has just addressed the European Parliament Working Group on the Quality of Childhood in the European Union in Brussels, on reducing alcohol misuse among children and adolescents.

He was a keynote speaker at two Department of Health NHS conferences on alcohol: The North West Alcohol Conference 2011 and the North East Alcohol Office conference 'Calling Time on Second Hand Harm'. The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health have invited Dr Sigman to speak at at their Annual Conference in May, 2012 as a clinical and scientific session on Young Persons Health.

He has been invited by the Ministry of National Education to speak at the First International Congress of Technology Addiction in Istanbul, Turkey, in April.He recently addressed the European Parliament Working Group on the Quality of Childhood in the European Union in Brussels, on the impact of electronic media.

Scotland's national Violence Reduction Unit have invited Dr Sigman to speak to the nation's police at their conference on alcohol in October.
